Last weekend was very hot here in San Francisco Bay.  I went out and did two landscapes, one water and one mountain, see if you can feel the heat.  For my own learning purpose, I do demand myself to learn very stroke counts. Especially plein air, the faster the better.
Thank you for looking and welcome critiques.

Hi Sandi,
The ocean picture: Do you have to ask? Definitely a steamy day.
The mountain picture is wonderful. Not quite as steamy. Maybe there was a little mountain breeze. But well done.

It gets hot in San Francisco Bay?!? Sandi, I am envious of your talent, you can be so realistic with your portraits and then so painterly with your oils. Only one comment on the seascape; It's looking a just a tad bit stacked so I think the sky and skyline could be lightened to push it farther into the distance. Check out this link I found. I think it illustrates what I mean. BTY, would you mind sharing the colors you used for the sea?

Hello Sandi,

Both of these are wonderful - I think the water scene is my favorite.  It amazes me how you can achieve such a well balanced, pleasing scene so quickly.  My appreciation for plien air jumped considerably over the weekend when I tried it myself for the first time!  Your work is very impressive; well done!

These are fantastic. I'm envious of your painterly style.
