Another attempt at a landscape.  This one done from photos and imagination.  The shed was at my sister's place in  Virginia, as well as the distant mountians, I added the pasture and the sheep were from photos I took the last time I was at her place.  It's 8 x 16 oil on canvas panel.  Hope you like.

This is wonderful. I love the sheep on the hillside. Your clouds are well done along with the mountains in the back.

Peggy,
This is well put together. A very pleasing blend to make a very peaceful painting.

Beatiful painting! I like it very much, especially the colors you have chosen. Your perspective with the sheep is good, too. They help to add depth to the scene. The only thing I might suggest is that such a shed would likely have a less traveled path leading to it. Perhaps you could rough up your path a bit with some scattered overgrowth, and/or irregular edges to contribute to the ramshakle look.

I think it is a great painting, I like it the way it is or with jAlida's advice with the path. Either way great painting. Hope to see more.

Thanks to all for the great comments, I'm glad you enjoyed it. As for the path to the shed, it was actually that well traveled, it's where they keep their wood for the fire place, and the trash to keep the animals out until they can carry it to the dump. The only thing I left out was a hawthorne bush that blocked the view of the distant hills. Thanks again, you've encouraged me to keep trying with the landscapes, I have such trouble with all those greens on green, just drives me insane. So I'm trying to find ways to break it up.
Well, Later.

I only have one comment. Paint larger like 15 x 30 or more. Your work deserves a larger canvas.

Thanks Phil, I do normally like to paint larger, but this was an experiment. I was not sure how it was going to come out, and I didn't want to waste a larger canvas. As I said before, I have a difficult time with landscapes because of all that green. I thought the smaller canvas was a good place to experiment and learn, when I gain more confidence I'll try it on something larger.
Thanks again for the encouragement.
