The figure goes from a big head to small hips. Did you check that the image was "square" with your original's measurements? I use a proportion wheel to check mine. The figure is looking too slick, almost like you air brushed it. The pie is more realistic. Kassie |

Hi, Lona A proportion wheel converts sizes from large to small or vise a versa. If I have a 9 x 12 painting in photo shop and I'm not sure it is proportioned and I want it smaller to fit on the forum because the jpg is too great, I would turn the 9 to maybe 6 and find by looking at the 12 that is would be 8 inches. Than I would change the photo size in photo shop. Maybe I had photgraphd it on an angle. I would hit distort and stretch the photo to fit the area that comes up. Then my painting would be in proportion or "squared". It's about a 6 inch circle with a 5 inch circle inside. Inches are on both wheels and you simply align them or pick a percentage that is in a small window on the smaller wheel. They are simply 2 pieces of coated cardboard. Sounds confusing. I'll try to scan mine for you so you can see what it looks like. I'll send it here tomorrow. I've had a couple of proportion wheels since I was a graphic artist. Some catalogs have them. I don't think AC Moore or small art shops carry them. Kassie |

Here's the proportion wheel. (I cropped it a little close.)\
Don't know why this came out so big. I wish I could get some of my paintings to come out this big.

Lost for words... Brilliant.. Absolutely beautiful.. I love the subject matter, the shadows, the suggestibilty, the pie etc. and also the sharpness of the lines, just all too much to say in words, I can read so much into this painting..... a masterpiece now and a master piece in progress.

Looks great! One questio....I don't understand the 'two' lower shadows of her right arm? I'm thinking there were two light sources , but for me it's confusing to have both shadows....could maybe the higher one be removed or possibly painted similar to the shadow for her left arm? Jusy my opinion.... Mike |

| This turned out great! I always love viewing your paintings and I'm glad to see you back. I keep thinking about how grand they must look at the large sizes that you do. |

Wish I had the space to do some larger paintings.... Very well done, The two shadows in the lower right corner are confusing though is one from the pie and arm? I havn't done a lot of paintings though so please don't take my confusion to heart. Tanya |
