This is the second in a series of small studies I'm doing on seascapes and marine art. It's an 11x14" oil on canvas.

Outstanding! You have captured the tranquil mood of the early day. You also have improved in the placement/balance of your composition, with not so much negative space as your previous submission. Love the way you highlight the slightly left-of-center section with the gentle sunlight. I favor water scenes, and you have done a lovely job in the reflections! Thank you for this beautiful piece. As for a name... How about keeping it simple and calling it "Early morning at [Place]," or some such?

I'm a second WOW. Very nice. Calm and enjoyable. Reflections on the water are well done. Very peaceful.

Thanks Alida and Maggie. I like that for a name. I named it Boats in the Harbour but it's not set in stone. Early morning at Weymouth Harbour sounds pretty good.

A wonderful little painting. I have seen many scenes like this but I never had the courage to paint one.
The rows of boats and buildings just scare me away. Nice job on a very difficult subject. No fault for me to find other than this should have been on a much larger canvas.

Thanks scootergirl, phil and jim. I decided to simply name it Boats in the Harbour at Weymouth. I intend to do a much larger one Phil. This was a small study. Thanks again.

Very well done. It has the look of an Impressionists Painting. The painting is alive with interest.
