I've actually never taken any painting classes but these two pieces are done with the Bob Ross wet on wet technique.
With the first one I used light weight modeling paste to create the texture, then gessoed it with black gesso, after that dried I primed the panel with a mix of prussian blue, alizaron crimson, and a touch of midnight black, and painted in all the details with titanium white.
The second was done the same way except for that one I used a canvas and skipped the modeling paste.
As far as the color is concerned it really depends on the lighting of the room they're in, depending on what kind of bulb is used they appear to have either a blue or a purple hue. |
