This is a portrait that I did of a model who posed for a group.  I decided to try painting in a different style and this is the result.  Is it too harsh a rendition of this lady?  It is a good likeness.  It is almost a year old and ready to be varnished.  Should I make any changes?

Shows lots of character from the face to the clothes. It could be your photo but you may want to put a little more color in the forehead, nose and checks. My screen shows them a bit chalky. It's a swell painting, otherwise.

I love these types of paintings. The deep shadows and the
bright colors make a simple but very pronounced statement.

All the best,

This painting is beautiful. The face, clothes and highlights are done very well.
