Author Messages Oldest First Newest First Kassie Posts:66 05/05/2008 8:21 PM Alert  This painting has been in and out of my closet. I can't decide. I was trying to be looser. I started out with a billious lime green background, painting the flowers loosely and then I put it away. Next I painted the background black.  The vase is just something I threw together (I didn't have to match the bottom perspective with the opening oval). I'm thinking about putting some little monochromatic illustration on the vase (creame and brown). Open to suggestions or should I put it back in my closet. It is 18 x 24 on stretched canvas. John Donne luvtopaint Posts:12 05/10/2008 7:03 AM Alert  Kassie, the light is shinning head on to the vase so in my opinion the background should be lighter, I think expermenting with the background might prevent you from putting it back into the closet. Lovely flowers shouldn't stay in a dark closet! LOL shrl
