I have been sitting on my patio and painting a  small segment of what I see and here are the results of my efforts.  Would love to have a critique on my work.  I know that after looking at a piece for a long time it becomes difficult to see the error in your ways.  I probabaly won't make any major changes, but I would like to know so that I don't make the same mistakes over and over again.

Thanks for the help.

I followed your citiques and added some shadows and put some air between the forground and the houses in the background and here are the results.  Does it look better?

I like what I see. Looks like a nice place to sit with a good book and a cup of coffee. The only problem I see is that many of the objects seem to be floating above the tiles, they need shadows or something to ground them.

I like this Phil! It has a certain charm that I think a lot of people would enjoy in a picture. Because it reminds them of the everyday pleasures...so is 'pleasing' to the heart in that way. Great job!

Thank you for the comments. Wish there were more. I did add some shadows to anchor the objects and faded the homes accross the lake. I'll take another photo and show the results tomorrow.
