These zinnias were some of the last out of my garden last September and needed to be remembered. We had so much rain in 07 (in the midwest), that they grew to a pretty good size. I paired them with coffee mugs and colorful cloth napkins and scarves. Both are 24" x 24" oil on gessobord. I'm planning on entering these into a juried show at The Next Picture Show gallery in Dixon, IL soon. P.S. I hope the images show up. I'm assuming the "message attachment" area at the bottom of the posting area is what I use.

I LOVE your style...has a contemporary feel to it. I'm really drawn to the reflections, and of course those beautiful bold flowers. These are very good.

Good job. And good luck on getting into the shows. I just got two pastels juried into a show, and as usual, it is very thrilling. I hope these two get in. They should, but I know it depends on who is jurying, how many entries there are, etc., etc. But good luck. Gene

These are great! I love how you captured the reflective surface of the coffee mug. And I like in general how you put the flowers in a workaday surrounding instead of staging a formal setting with a fancy vase. Post more!
