While thumbing through the book "The Art of Drawing" I noticed a terrific charcoal sketch by Henri Matisse. I really liked the composition and thought it would be both fun and a good learning exercise to create a painting from the drawing, making my own judgements on what colors to use.

Yes, but I don't plan to just paint from drawings on a regular basis. The drawing would have to really appeal to me the way the Matisse did.
