This indeed beautiful. It is hard to believe that it is an oil paintnig and not a photograph. You must have take a lesson from the old masters. The way you brought the subjects forward and let the rest of the painting recede is certainly beautifully done. Thanks for showing this piece to us.

thank you guys! No I do not use painter 8. I was very fortunate to learn from my Dad when I was a kid many years ago... I think he is a Master himself... his attention to detail was astounding! He was a Tuskegee Airman and career Air Force Officer. He created the statue dedicated to the Tuskegee Airman that is at the U.S. Air Force Academy. My posings come from my work as a professional photographer years ago... I do take professional photographs of my clients for reference. If I have to, I adjust the image in Photoshop prior to painting. I like to project on the canvas to get an accurate rendering. This was a technique I learned when I was studying Vermeer...

Wow. It's nice to learn more about you and your studies. How fortunate to have learned from your dad. This one may be my favorite. I LOVE how you've painted the glow on the left young lady's skin and the light on her bottom lip. And you've even got the wonderful detail in the chair. I feel like I'm in the room with them.
