Looks to be a great start, just wish it didn't have a glare on it, makes it hard to see. Try turning your flash off, it's washing out the details. Look forward to seeing it finished. Peggy

I hate to do this but I presume that you want an honest critique. The background is fine but the portrait seems to be a good underpainting. Now you have to paint the face and the hair with some paint on your brush to give life to the lady in the painting. The hair need color whether she be blond or brunette and the skin needs to come alive so that it looks like she has blood flowing in her veins. Sorry to be so critical.
