I like Daisy's head, but I am confused about that big ring around her neck. Is that her skin? I can't see what it is. I know this is not a realistic painting,but that object is very distracting to me. Maybe I just don't know this kind of dog. Please explain................Gene

i think what you're talking about is where her neck goes into her body? it's sort of an odd angle

i am not trying to be difficult- i don't understand what you mean by the big ring around her neck. if you are talking about the red line, it blends better in the actual painting than the image. here is the photo, maybe it will help.

This is really nice mskarts...I think that pehaps your stylization is being misunderstood. Every artist develops their own style and it is important to see someones art in that light. It's delightful!

thank you river. as i'm sure you know, after working on something & looking at it for a while it's sometimes hard to step back & see what other people are seeing, so i try to understand. that said, i have gotten good feedback on it from people who are usually pretty honest with me (my husband is pretty good at spotting things that look really funny). i really appreciate your comments.

First, allow me to say that your work is great... I think the red line seems to impress that a ring is placed around the dog's neck... to me my eye seems to go to it and concentrate on that... my opinion, which is worth less that $.02.

i posted asking for input, and i thank you for taking the time to give me yours. i was truly confused by the other poster's reference to a big ring, but at least i know what you're talking about.
