This is a quick oil on black gessoed canvas, 16 X 20, that I did as a gift for my sister who loves roosters.  I would love some feedback on this while it is still on my easel.

This looks great. I think you could use more space between his tail and the edge of the canvas. Maybe it's there in real life and not on the photo. I love the way you handled the grasses and ground that he is standing in. Very nice.............Gene

Love the many colors on your rooster. Excellent. Maybe a bit more red on the comb and a touch of orange on the feet.

very nice!...i find it very helpful to drag up several reference photos of the same type of animal, i think they call this original bird the south american jungle fowl.....~wink~...it looks pretty good to me...though the rear leg might be a tad too high compared to the nearer ones level...but i had to look hard to find that!
oils is my favorite paint!...i agree about how the ground was handled...very nice!
~I am always doing what I cannot do yet, in order to learn how to do it~
