I completed these sunflowers this morning.  I don't know where my mind was when I came up with this composition.  I know better than to make two flowers as the main subject.  Anyway, I decided that because the canvas wasn't too large (9x12), I would see what I could do to help remedy the problem.  I added hollyhocks.  Oh, well...it's done and my next door neighbor loves it.  (The idea came when she grew sunflowers by the wall that separates our houses this summer from seeds her daughter gave her from California.  When they started popping up above the wall, my rescued shelter dog, a big labradoodle, was afraid of them; it was hilarious!) Critiques are welcome as always.

I think this looks great! The style of this really appeals to me......with just subtle color added to the sunflower petals. Nice work!

I think the composition of this painting is just fine. The angular affects of
the building in the background sets of the triangle flowers in the foreground.
Great colors and nice detail on the flowers.

This is really very pretty--your rendering is strong and the colors balance the composition. The yellow in the center of the pink flower brings it in harmony with the yellow sunflowers. I also like that the pink is off-center. Very nice.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I feel a lot better about it now. Jim, you're right about the angle; it does help, but I hadn't realized it.
