A new painting still on the easel and not yet dry.  I wish she had posed for me, but not so.  I saw this photo on the internet and couldn't resist painting it.  Everything about it was beautiful.  I know about the halo over her head and am in the process of fixing that.  Would like to hear your comments.

You might say that the photograph was my model.  The upper picture is the original photo which I offer for your comparison.

I retook the photo of the painting to show how the painting really looks.  The other photo was a poor photo.  Thanks for your indulgence
Some changes to the painting are shown in the last picture. tried to create more translucency in the gown with softer shadows and more see through.

I can see why you chose her - she's lovely and in a good pose for subject matter. I think you did a nice job in executing the painting of her. It may be the way it appears here, but is her eye looking down at her shoe the way it does in the photo? When I view it, she looks like she's looking straight down and she's distracted mentally. (I'm not saying that it needs correction; I'm just pointing out what I'm seeing.) While I think this is very well done, I personally prefer the soft whites and creams in the original.

That's funny cause I like your rendition better. To each his or her own.
Very good capture of the photograph. Inspiration is the key. If you don't
feel it, it's hard to keep going and finish. You were definitely inspired.

I especially like the color you've added to her dress.
