Last night while having dinner, we looked out onto our back garden, and saw a big buck just like this one standing there eating my plants!........... No, Ramesh, yours is much more beautiful! I actually chased mine away and I would never do that to this beauty! I'd love to see this in person. At that size, it must be truly breath-taking!...................Gene

beautiful brushwork and warm colors make a winning combination in this painting....really lovely...
the one thing i might have done though is a bit more work on the antlers...

Love this angle! And, the rear end is almost abstract, so your eye travels further into the painting and it gives it depth. I agree this must be very powerful at that size! Wonder what he was thinking about you, did you take this photo?

Gene, I am surprised that an animal of this kind you can see in your backyard. More surprised that you chased it away. In India they would have eaten it. THere are kind of people who eat anything that moves. [ I am a strict vegetarian.] Thanks for the comments.

'One who sees' I agree with your comments.

Thanks Bluiz, This original photo belongs to my friend. we go together, in our wildlife trips. You may see my photographs in a similar website of this kind. Type www.indianaturewatch.net. In memberslist sort for my name as rameshjayaraj.

Thanks JIm as usual your comments are always waited upon.

I do agree with your comments 'scootergirl.' In fact this is second canvas. The first one failed.

Connie, where are you?

Until I looked closely, I thought that this was a doe and then I noticed the antlers. You should bring them up just a little and then find a hunting lodge to hang it in. Very nice work.

OOOOOOO!!!! Another beautiful painting!! I LOVE the limited pallette paintings that you've been posting. Very dramatic.....that face really draws you in. And the position of the body is very endearing. Beautiful work!

I can't think of anything else to add except my support for your incredible talent. This is stunning! (I would have never thought about the angle seeing the rear first, but that's why I love this forum - new exposures every day.) Well done.

Well, Ramesh.............I'm not sure the deer in my back yard was the same variety. Our are white-tail deer, but the buck who paid us a visit was very big with a whole array of antlers. People here eat them, too. Bow and arrow deer hunting season has just started here in Michigan, and this one was probably scared our way by hunters further out in the country. We are living in the very far-out suburbs of Grand Rapids, Mi. There are tons of deer around, always being hit by cars, and forever intruding into my garden eating my hosta plants. Like to look at them, but don't want them messing with my plants!!!!!............I was able to capture one of them, a doe, in my driveway this past winter.............capture on camera, that is. Still have to try to paint her.................Again, you have a very beautiful painting here!.............Gene
