Here's the newest addition to the animals I've recently done in black/white reverse.  I think I'm ready to get back into more traditional paintings.  The break has been nice and a good escape from the norm.  C/C welcome.  (36x36, oil)

Nice, has a 70's pop art poster quality to it.

Hi Kim
"This is so Sweet" - I would love to really know a Llama.
The four black shapes close together in the nose and mouth area are not working for me, I wish they were.
Sharing - Simplify the lines and keep the shapes as smooth and simple as possible - like the lines and shapes denoting the ears and the beautiful eyes. Love the eyes.
another example - The two spots between the eyes I would try to keep the same form just reverse one ( I like the one on my right best - smooth- simple - curved lines)
(The lines and shapes within the nose area - are similar to the lines and shapes of the background - the non black and white area.) Keep style separated I like the style shift.
Also - The sunflower on the right seems forced into the corner. A wider format would have been better the size relationships of the elements are good. Even if the flower would have been cut off by the edge (and higher?) it would have had better balance?
Keep the styles separated - like the tree trunks not curving towards and running into other lines of the bl'k and white form. Prefered, varied tree trunk height and less on the right side.
I like your design, right now I can't remember seeing a similar piece.
I like the background colors too. It would be nice to see the true color tones.
But I know they aren't true here when the white isn't white.
Great merchandising design for children like t-shirts.
I would like to see more of this style. I guess I'll have to see if I can find more right here on AN.

Connie, thank you for taking so much time to write out your comments. I think you bring out some very good points and I appreciate your input. I wasn't as pleased with this one as much as I was of the sheep and the one of my dog Bentley (you still may be able to find them in the oil forum). For one, the canvas was not the best size and shape, but I thought I would accept the challenge to fill in the space (the other two don't have anything in the background except a fence in the sheep one). I questioned mixing the two styles, but I was stumped. Two, she (the llama) was a lot harder and finally after a few hours of trying, I decided to just start working on the canvas. Her head/neck is turned slightly so she's not being viewed head-on, making her not completely symmetrical in the face - something hard to achieve with shapes instead of lines and shading. My primary goal was to make it look like a wood block print. Did I succeed? I'm not sure, but she's complete for now and I may not do another of this style for awhile.

J Ramesh - thank you. I'm glad you like it.

Kim,
I really wish you wouldn't stop now.
I like this one the best, big difference from the first two.
But if the your spirit leads you else where, so be it.

I think another sunflower to the right of the right one and a little above and behind it might help the composition-maybe a little more elongated like the one on the left. Also the tree trunks might be a little more stylelized in the manner of Romero Britto.
This reminds me of his work.
Good job.

Three is a good number for balance,
and elongated, even better idea - solution.

Connie and Barb - good idea about the additional sunflower. I'll work on that this week and repost when I'm done. Thanks for the input.
Barb - I have not heard of Romero Britto. I'll use my lunch time tomorrow to do some research. Thank you.
