This is a mood painting of a friend in front of the TV.  I thought it so typical of the younger generation of women so I painted it.  The figure was painted from a quick sketch and access to the furnishings in the room afterwards.  The colors were not based on reality, but from my own memory of the scene and an attempt to create the mood. 

I think that the appreciation for this type of picture would be rather limited, but it was fun to do.

I really like the muted highlights and loose brush. Nice out of the ordinary mood.

Not sure what the mood is,, but I like the painting a lot. Reminds me of my younger sister when she was alive.
