Thomas is 9x12 oil on canvas.  The new owner is very happy with Thomas.  I am happy new owner is happy because it is portrait of his cat.  C/C welcome anyway.

Heather, this is so darling. I love the way you have the cat positioned in the long grass. And I love the light touch to the fence behind him. Makes him really stand out................Great work...........Gene

Not only does the painting of the cat stand out, but it's personality does also!
Very nice work Heather.

Beautiful work Heather! I love the lighting in this painting. And I like the grass folded under the cat's feet.

Agreed, the grass just sets the whole thing off. Nice work on the eyes, the soul of the work.

Hey Jim, Gene, Jess and Jim,

Thank you all so much for the great comments on this work! I really appreciate it. It actually looks better in person, the camera didn't pick up the very soft brownish fur, just picked up those three splotches of it. Didn't have time to fool around with camera too much as I was on a deadline.

Okay only two more paintings to finish before I can get back to what I love - doing my own work! I am hoping to be in a miniature show in December, but that means having the work to do it! Plus I have some larger works in oil and pastel that I want to do too. So much to paint, so little time.

Plus a local gallery wants to represent me, and I don't have the work yet to submit! It will be all miniatures, she is setting up a section of the gallery just for miniatures. Hoping to get enough to her before the holiday season. It would be wonderful to be able to paint all day every day, but that is not an option unfortunately.

Heather! I have missed you and your cats! Glad to see you both back!
This is a beautiful painting! Photographing paintings of black cats is impossible! Wish we could see the detail of the real thing! This is lovely! As always with your paintings, the eyes carry the painting!
