Dear journal and fellow visionaries,
Today I set out to begin a new journey. At present, I am in Vancouver and about to embark on a trip home to Newfoundland. After the summer months I will continue traveling again. Since becoming a painter in the past couple of years I have felt more and more inspired by each day that passes, as I constantly see beautiful things all around me that I wish to paint. I have decided to start expressing my emotions through a quicker more spontaneous technique that seems to suit me best. I have an obsession with light. I've discovered impressionist painting to be so enjoyable, free-spirited and it has a sense of motion to it. I really like that. I also like the illusion when you squint your eyes or stand back from the painting and the image seems to get tighter.
I'll conclude this journal entry with a photograph of my new painting, freshly created tonight and still very wet on my easel. I think I painted for about two hours, but I don't know to be exact as I lose track of time very easily. This is the first piece that I will make commercially available to buyers across the globe. Interested bidders can contact me personally at adam@dash5.com to make an offer.
I must admit I should employ a professional photographer to capture my paintings. I didn't use a tripod or anything to keep my hand steady when taking the photograph, so it looks better in person and I'm sure most people would feel that way.
Yours truly,
Adam Harnett
