Hi Heather, I sure like the first miniature. You have captured the beach perfectly. The second miniature confused me at first as I thought I was looking down into the water and then I realized that I was looking out at clouds in the sky. Leon |

Thanks Leon, not surprised you were confused, the photo came out really blue. The values are stronger in real painting and not so blue. Sometimes paintings are hard to get the colors correct, and other times it is so easy. I think if I darkened the back water behind the wave it might photograph better. The actual scene had no definition from sky to water also, because of the cloud bank, and that makes a difference. Hmmm... maybe artistic license is the thing to do on this one. The foam on the wave is actually white with a touch of blue and you can't really see the white here. |
