| Vibrant colors and very good trees. The only thing that seems off is the guy looks a little stiff and the light on the couple doesn't seem quite right. Maybe some glazing to tone it down. |

Hi Julia, I like this painting very much. I've come back to it several times since you posted it and I've been trying to decide what about it attracts me so. Very well done! Leon |

| This is very well done from the background to the foreground, the shadows and the light play are excellent, this is quite lovely and tells a story too. |

Hi Julia, This painting tells a story to me in such a quiet understated way that I find it very attractive. Your use of color is excellent in conveying this mood. I really like this painting. It is beautiful, but did you mean to change the value between your male subjects left hand and your female subects right elbow. It appears to me to have brought forward an area that would be less emphasized. Leon |

Hi Julia, Is this for a book cover? It looks like it could be a romance novel cover. It appears very painterly. The male figure still looks a bit rigid. Overall, I like this painting it has a soft feel. The changes you have made do draw more attention to the figures. I am sure that was intentional. The male arm now is a little darker than it should be on top. Some light glazing could fix that.

morning! i really like the bg...the grass colors are a bit vibrant, but thats a personal creative preference in many artists... the figures seems to fit comfortably into the scene.....my eye though, is drawn to the figures right wrist, on top of the woman's shoulder...it feels to be bent a lil unnaturally...a tiny overly twisted feeling.. it IS early...and it could be my eyes...but..~wink~ i got new glasses and i can see clearly again!
the work in the layering of planes in the bg...is beautifully done....and you have achieved a really nice range of depth.... although the birch trees in the distance could have been a bit less distinct..just a touch more....its a teensy thing!
is there a story behind the painting?? inquiring minds would like to know! |

Thank you very much for comments! I just couldn't login to forum to answer - my computer warning security system says that now here is something wrong with authentical sertificate. (?) I had just idea of romantic painting - that's all. This is not for a book. Still I am complitely satisfied with people. Problem is - may be I need complitely redo them again. I am not sure of I will do it or not. For this moment I am tired of this painting. |

Hi Julia, This is a very romantic painting! It has a very tender feel to it. I know how it feels sometimes to get tired of a painting and I too will put one aside, sometimes for several months, before I come back to it and then surprise I like the painting even more. I do not think that you need to redo the people. They really go together well. As to the problem about the Authentical Certificate it pops up on my computer too. I worried awhile about logging onto the side, but then I called a Chris McHugh at 513-531-2690ext.1489. She called me back to say that they were working on the problem and that I could go ahead and log on the site, but just don't put any data on the site (like SSN's or Credit Card numbers), that you wouldn't publish for all the world to see. When you think about it we do have members from all around the world. Leon |
