Just finished this one today. It's one of the pallete knife paintings I doing for the show. I call it Three Sisters for the peaks in it. This place exists only in my mind. Let me know what you all think.

Thanks,

Jim

Wow! Very striking. Nice shadows and reflections. This one may be my favorite of your recent ones. Keep up the good work.

Hi Jim,
I really like the colors in this painting. I like the stormy looking sky and reflections in the water are great.
I think the painting would have been more interesting if there was more variation in the shapes of the mountains.
They're all shaped like pyramids. But I guess if they weren't very similar, the title wouldn't be appropriate.
I still think it's very nice.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for stopping by. Really appreciate your comments. You know, I didn't
even think about the pyramid shapes until you pointed them out. Wasn't going
for that look, it just happened. I guess when you just come up with stuff out of
your head sometimes you repeat something that came out ok the first time. Oh well.
Just keep swimming.

Hi Jim,
Your mountains overlap so that is okay, and the middle one is a little higher, I would have put it even higher as it seems to be the dominant mountain. Excellent palette knife work.

Hey Jim,
Nice to see you back around. Got anything in the hopper? Hope to see some soon.
I'm just trying to get paintings cranked out for the show. Thanks for the comments.

I have to pop in on your site for show info. I've been painting and getting ready for a show in a couple months with a friend of mine that paints too.

It's getting warm out so I seem to be outside more often these days. I like to paint outside save for the bugs and other stuff that always seem to find my canvas.

Man what a concept. Put the info about the show on my website. I have
a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, but
did I think to put my show info on my website? Nooooooo... I can help other people
market their services and products, but when it comes to marketing myself I seem to draw
a blank. The show is June 16th at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wa. during and event
called "Super Saturday".
Thanks Jim,

Now that's just good stuff my friend! I wish the show were closer, I'd like to see some of your work in person. I did hit your site and was reminded of all the good work you've done. I especially like the silhouette of the cowboy in front of the sun.

Good luck with your show Jim, I'm sure you'll be well received.

Thanks Jim,
I appreciate your confidence. Just finished another palette knife painting from a photo I found
on the internet. It's real impressionistic. Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Jim
