Hi Vivian,
I like your painting and the way your sidewalk leads into the focus of the picture. This house must have a beautiful view. Are those Cairns along either side of the walkway and if so what do they represent, if anything?

Hi Vivian,
I agree with Leon this house must have a beautiful view.
In my opinion, I think the pine tree should have some highlights.
This is a nice painting.

i like your painting too!...lovely rustic seaside feel to it...

with a bit more tweaking....fnding the way to lead the viewer

through the painting with values and softer areas contrasting

with sharper detail.....you can turn the notch up a bit..

I like this painting but am confused. Is the pathway snow or sand? It seems not to be flat because of the solid shade on one side and the highlight on the other. Broken up it would would look flatter. I would personally make the sidewalk darker than the house except for here and there where the light hits it.
