I like this painting.......I like the fact that Ming tackled the backgound in this one. Although I love the way she painted the light areas on the faces and hair, the proportions of the heads are off. The baby's head is way too small. And the mother's head ....1. It's too big (the hair line should be further down her forehead.) 2. Her neck is too thick, making her chin look like it's being swallowed by her neck. Putting aside the proportion issues, I think this piece is very nice. I see a definite growth in your work since your last post (was it a month ago?). Your figures are much more realistic looking. Congrats!
