Your work is incredible! I love to see classic style in today's artwork. The top painting is breathtaking! What kind of art background do you have?

Tank you Retha!

I like to teach and I have a very good relation with all my students. To teach is a quite good thing, that allows a constant renewal of our art.

I know I also teach very informal, love my students and they like to come, it's not a drag to them, they cant wait for the next lesson. Rethaa

The background is from my imagination to fit with the composition. Often, I reorganize space around the model because the rythme and focal center is very important. I like baroque composition full of curve like the flemmish painter, Peter Paul Rubens. He is one of my first influence when I was a young painters. I visited the "Louvre" to see its paintings in 1978. The series on Marie de Medicis was amazing. Check the composition in this self-portrait with his wife Isabel Brant.

Tanks Lola

For me composition is very important, like rythm in music.

In this painting I integrated the branches of the tree with the the movement of my model.

Love them both! The first one has a wonderful Old World feel to it. Your compositions are outstanding. Wish you were teaching a class in MY area!

Beautiful work! I love the "tender moments" painting. It has a timeless quality to it. The mother/child connection is so strong. Thanks for sharing the creative steps with us.

Wonderful painting! Will have to go look at your other paintings.

Materese, exactly what I thought...Bougereau! I have a friend who has painted with Johnnie Lilidahl in this style.
