Lovely! Somewhat reminicient of Bougereau.
I like how you organize your work process, allowing you to address things as they should: composistion first, then values and finally details. It makes life easier, yes? |

| Wow... I really like your light. You have a Rockwell quality yet still distinctive. Beautiful in more than just color, but the figure are truly beautiful people too. The setting lends to the focal point as well, and it has detail. Something only the talented could muster. |

Hi Emmanuel,
Thank you so much for showing these steps. It's always great to
see how other people organize there work. From the comments
above I see your style is well known, and that you have made it
your own. This layering technique is not something I've tried yet,
but the results speak for themselves.

Hi Emmanuel,
Have to love the old masters - that is how I learned. I studied with Frank Arcuri, who was a student of David Leffel. Now, I continue my studies with artists who graduated from the Florence Academy of Art.
And, you're English is fine - and if you're in a pinch - I understand French very well! |

Greetings from a fellow Canadian - we saw your web site - WOW !! they are amazing, my wife paints in Oil and she wishes that you are in the capital, Ottawa so she could take lessons. Are you teaching in Frenh or English? my wife doesn't speak French ... et mon français est ... comme-çi, comme-ça !!! :-))

I'm living at Levis, a little town in front of Quebec City.
I teach in french. I'm not very good in english: I can read but to speak it's more difficult because I dont' practice. But I would like to be better!
This forum is a good way to practice my english. |

| Emmanuel, Your paintings are absolutely beautiful. There is no need to apologize for not speaking English.....I do not speak French! Wish I did, however. It is a beautiful language, from what I HEAR! Your true expression comes throught in your art, I can see. And I think in that way, all of us on this forum, definitely understand each other.
