You are an amazing artist. Your work is beautiful. I can understand why you get the
accolades you do. You paint like the masters. You will have many people here that will
ask you many questions on style and technique. Please post something here that we can
all learn from.

Tanks Jim! OK my english is poor, but I'll try something...

On my web site, I have a demo page. You can see it in the left column.

For information, I use filbert brushes of all kind and number for figure and standard brushes for landscape. I prefer large brushes for the fast and effective mouvement. Sometime, I start directly whitout basic drawing and just make details at the end. My medium is liquin standard, fine detail and sometime impasto.

My principale colors: cadmium yellow light and medium, cadmium red light and deep, quinacridone red, alizarin, permanent bitumen lake(Lefranc), raw sienna, viridian, ceruleum, ultramarine, cobalt blue. Lefranc, Holbein,Windsor Newton, Rembrant, but all of it ares extra-fine.

I dont put all colors on my palette, but just five or six plus white. I work with a basic harmony like triad, tetrad complemenrary, color family etc. I like different harmony for different mood. No comfort zone because each painting is a new world.

I'd like to post some pictures, but when I make the operation (insert image) it does'nt work. ???

Emmanuel

When I was having trouble posting.......I found that when I was logging in, I had to keep entering my password in instead of letting it come up automatically. There could be other reasons why you haven't been able to post, but that is the problem that I had.

You may want to post a new message.....title it, "Can anyone help me post?" or something like that. The veterans around here will probably have advice. I'm not the most computer savvy person, so I wouldn't know where to begin. I had trouble posting for the first few months I was here, and I'm still not sure what the problem was.

Welcome Emmanuel, I am a Canadian from Ontario. It's good to know we share the same
respect for the Masters.

I'm also Canadian. I'm from Quebec Province. Excuse my poor english, but I try and try and try again... This site is a good way to practice.

I like to visit the National museum of Ottawa. There are so many old master.

I got this photo at the museum. You can see a painting with the same technique of your Marilyn painting. (Black and white before glaze).
