This is a work in progress.
I seem to have an flowers in Oils phase now.
I have nearly finished. It was named the above because I got permision of Little Dreamer on W.C. to paint her photo.

Here is the progress I made.

Really good work. I do like the yellow flowers in the middle better, they have darker stems showing, though this could just be the way they photographed in the bottom painting. Is the bottom the finished product or are you working more on it? Really like the layering of colors in the background too. If not finished please keep posting as you go along.

thanks for the encouragement Jim.
Sometimes we all need it, I havent painted for a while, had to sort out the fact that I cannot be a grandchild caretaker first,
Husband comes first then the rest,
seems to be sorted, they just don't take it too well.
Now I'm back, to beiing no. 1 wife, no. 2, artist and tutor....
It's my turn, don't like to be orderered around by grown up kids.

I agree with Jim. I really like the background and how well it makes the flowers stand out.

This may be because of the photo, so take this with a grain of salt, the middle yellow flower, right in the center of the flower, it seems a little smudged or mishmashed (technical artistic term there), which makes it blend into the background for me. Maybe adding the tiniest bit of definition to that one area so it brings it more to the foreground. But, if it is just the way it photographed, completely ignore what I just said.

What I really like is the composition. How the flowers draw you into the background and makes you want to go beyond them to see the field of flowers behind it. Overall a very nice, peaceful painting.

Wishing you peace and prosperity,
Naomi
