I am a new comer here. This is the first painting I display. See what you all think!

This painting is very pleasing to the eye. I had to stand back from my computer to get the effect, close up it is very soft rather than sharp detail. The snow is well done and you have the distance, the back mountains takes the eye right through the painting. The water looks really cold, as it should. Well done.

You do some very nice work, but you're throwing up a lot of work at one time. It's really hard to comment on all the work that is on this site especially when one person puts up so much. Fortunately your work is very well done, but I will not comment on each and everyone. Your body of work should be on a website so people can go to it and look at it at there leisure. I've said this before to another artist on this site and I really don't mean to be rude, but show some respect for other artists here who have work that deserves to be seen, admired and commented on. This is also a two way street. You want comments you give comments.

This is very good. I like the way you have the light thrown on the snow in the center of the painting and leading the eye into the distance. The use of so much color in the snow is very effective. I might have made the grasses in the foreground a bit more detailed, but that's just me. And maybe if I saw the painting in real life they would appear that way. I do see nice crisp edges on the broken snow (ice?) on the left bank of the stream where the sun is hitting it. Very nice. A very pleasing composition also........ Thanks for sharing this...........Gene
