I was quite intrigued by Deb's  beautiful "Pinata"  alcohol paintings on Yupo, but not having 'Pinata' paints I decided to experiment on Yupo with regular watercolour paints , using  the rubbing alcohol instead of water.
I found it an enjoyable experiment but unfortunately I didn't get the excellent results that Deb achieved .
The first stage when dry was too blobby so I sprayed some water/alcohol on it , let it dry and it evened out some.
I am going to experiment  more with this as I do think with practice one could achieve some interesting results as the alcohol seems to make the paint more vibrant .

First stage ... and the second ..... neither one is good  but it was an interesting and fun experiment.

Pearl, sounds like you had fun doing this, maybe i will try it sometime. The final painting looks like it was done on hot press paper.

Thanks for looking Priti . It does look like it's on hot press paper and you saying that gives me the urge to try this technique on hot press , thank you  so very much for giving me the idea

This is just LOVELY Pearl! I love Yupo and the many different results that different artist's achieve on it.
