Hi Folks,
It has been some time since my last post. Here is something I thought you all might like to see. This is watercolor on Yupo. The texture is done with plastic grocery bags that have been ironed with a hot steam iron and affixed to the Yupo with acrylic medium. (Put the plastic between sheets of parchment or wax paper to keep it from sticking to the iron or the board). After the medium has dried the whole sheet is coated with gesso and then painted.
I have posted a series of photos that show some of the steps on my pbase site. http://www.pbase.com/gmotto/series_4
I hope you enjoy and all comments are appreciated.

Regards,
Greg.

This is a very interesting technique with great results .Just one question , how permanent is the gesso coating on the plastic ? will it eventually flake off?
