Here is one that is an over painting...did not like what was on the paper originally so gessoed it and scratched in some texture, 11 by 14 inches

Thank you Cattie, Retha and Michele, glad you like it. You can really get some interesting texture and it is a great way to reuse watercolor paper. Instead of wearing out the paper from scrubbing it just get thicker and stronger.
I went through some old picture last week that were in the "pitch-it" file, rewet them rubbed the gesso into the damp colors and have then set aside to paint in later...background already done.
