| I took a break from serious drawing this afternoon and did this drawing just for the fun of it.
I hope no one is offended that I am posting it under this catagory.
I just thought that someone might enjoy it....... |

| Ron, why would anyone be offended? This is a fun piece! Could go into a children's book? Reminds me of "Sylvester and the Magic Pebble". Remember that one?.............Gene |

Hi Ron, Very good job. I try to caricature myself and found that it is very challlenging. In a way I think it is harder to do than a portrait because you have to get that personality from that person and make into a caricature. I try to observe people and try to get their personality in minutes, very difficult and challenging. I am not sure if I can get some material to study & improve it. If you know any thing, please let me know. At the mean time, please take a look at my website at http://www.janeypassion.com Janey |

| Hi Janey,
Thanks. I have tried a few caricatures and sometimes they come out pretty well and sometimes not!
I looked at your website and was very impressed with your work.
The only caricature that I saw was of Abe Reimer. Good job!
As far as improving in this area, I think you are already doing what you need to do by observing people, recognizing their outstanding features, and emphasizing them. |

Very cute donkeyman! You really captured a personality with this piece. My suggestion is to make sure you don't lose the solidness of his form (especially if you are going to go through the effort to give him dimension by shading). For example, his legs do not quite work. There are bulges and dips that do not make sense. Great job--love that expression on his face. |

| Awwww....You've hurt Donkeyman's feelings. He had such a hard time getting into those jeans! Now he refuses to pose in the ballerina outfit. :-) |
